I like these two things, senior sessions and headshots being in the same gallery because my approach to them is similar. These sessions are typically the most relaxed sessions out of everything I shoot. They are incredibly specific to each person; their style, their personality, their interests, always tweaking the session towards their strengths. In that way, it's a low pressure situation. The most "real life" we can make these sessions the better and we do that by just casually hanging out the whole time. I direct when needed and also allow space for things to play out naturally. Technically, it's called directed photojournalism. The end result for me, is and always needs to be an accurate and flattering reflection of reality. We will showcase the pride of achievements, and bring in things or environments of significance. These sessions are well thought out but somehow extremely comfortable.
